Chinese Braised Pork in Brown Sauce

 

Chinese Braised Pork in Brown Sauce is a well-known recipe. Maybe some people don’t like fatty pork in it . We also use oil made from pork fat to make pastries.

The key to this dish is to make the meat less oily. First of all, the pork belly should be blanched, and secondly, the wine should be added whether it is cooking wine or white wine. 

Ingredients

  • 750 gram pork belly, cut into 3 cm cubes.
  • 1 tablespoon cooking wine
  • 1 teaspoon oil
  • 2 tablespoon light soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon dark soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 5 gram ginger, slices
  • 10 gram scallion, slices
  • 25 gram crystal sugar

Instructions

  1. Add water to a pot, bring a boiling, blanching the pork belly , then set aside
  2. Add oil to a wok, heat over medium high heat, add scallion, ginger and crystal sugar, stir-fry for a half minute, add pork belly, stir-fry for half minute, then add water, let the water drown over the pork belly, t add the light soy sauce, dark soy sauce ,salt, cooking wine,,bring a boiling , then heat over low heat, braising them until cooked through.
  3. Serve with rice
