Today, for Chinese children, they may eat more deep fried chicken wings in a Western-style fast food restaurant than braised chicken wings made in the home kitchen.
The braised method is mostly used for meat and harder texture ingredients. The ingredients are first pan-fried or stir-fried, and then cooked with sauce untill cooked through.

Make a few cuts on the chicken wings before marinating with sauce,Let the wings fully absorb the sauce and taste better.
Ingredients
- 400 gram chicken wings, wash and drain with paper
- 1/2 tablespoon dark soy sauce
- 2 teaspoon light soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3 cloves garlic, sliced
- one sliced ginger, shredded
- one red small pepper, cut into sections
- 1/2 teaspoon white pepper powder
- 10 gram crystal sugar
Instructions
- Mix everything except chicken wings,make cuts on chicken wings, thenmarinate chicken wings with sauce for half an hour
- Prepare a non-stick pan and heat over low heat,pan-frying the chiken wings both sides until brown
- Transfer them to a deep pot,add one cup water, bring a boiling, then heat over low heat, braising untill cooked through
- Serve with rice.
