Chinese chive and egg pie is a kind of dumplings. Chinese people usually call it “chive box”.It is a nice wheaten dish on dinner table.
Ingredients
- 1+1/3 cup chive,chopped
- flour: 1 cup
- water: 1+1/4 cup
- 3 big eggs,whisk
- salt: 2 teaspoon
- oil: 2 tbsp for fillings and 1 tbsp for egg stir-frying
Steps
- Flour and water, mix them,knead them into a dough, let it rest for half an hour.
- Heat a wok with oil over low heat, stir-fry the eggs liquid, make them small pieces as much as possible.
- Mixed minced stir-fried eggs, chopped chive,oil (they are fillings).
- Add salt before making chive boxes.
- Take out the dough and knead it for several minutes.
- Divide the dough into about 10 pieces, roll each piece into a ball. Roll every piece round wrapper with a rolling pin(just the same as dumpling wrapper).
- Put fillings on every dumpling wrapper, fold the dumpling wrapper in half, knead edges.
- Pan fry them for about 2-3 minutes on each side, until brown.
