Today’s stir fry celtuce ( stem lettuce) is the same as the stir-fried greens before, just garlic chopped and celtuce. From the perspective of traditional Chinese medicine, most green leafy vegetables are cold in nature, plus hot garlic, just balance.
With its emerald green color and refreshing flavor, lettuce is hard not to be liked. The edible part was only one-third when you got a celtuce, that does not effect its status in the vegetable world. It’s perfect for salads, hot pot, or meat dishes. I love its crispy texture more.

- The stir-frying time should not be too long, up to two minutes or it will lose its crispy texture.
Chinese Stir Fry Celtuce ( Stem Lettuce)
- Wok for stir-frying
- One 500 gram celtuce, peeled, only 200 gram left, shredded
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Add 2 tablespoons oil to the wok, heat over medium high heat
- Add garlic chopped to the wok, stir-frying for 3 seconds, add celtuce shredded, salt, keep stir-frying about 1 minute and a half, turn off the heat.
- Serve warm.
