Chinese Three-Silk Salad

(Last Updated On: May 24, 2022)

Today’s three-slik salad that should be a favorite of vegetarians  is a northern cold dish. Three-Silk, as the name suggests, is three kinds of ingredients cut into shreds. Can be tofu sheets cucumbers, carrots, vermicelli, enoki mushrooms, etc.

Cold dish is also a large category of Chinese food. I think it’s more appropriate to call it appetizer served with liquor. Because liquor is hot in nature and most of the salads made with raw vegetables are cold in nature , they are suitable to be matched together. Of course, chili oil is also essential when mixing cold dishes. We all know that chilis are masters of overcoming cold, and can add deliciousness to cold dishes.

The most test of making cold dishes is knife skills. Vegetables should be cut as finely as possible, so as not to affect the taste. Minced garlic is also a necessary ingredient for cold dishes, because garlic has the effect of sterilizing and adding flavor.

I think cold dishes are relatively simple and fast Chinese cooking. Cut the ingredients, add all the seasonings, and mix well. I can’t say it’s a supporting role at the dinner table, because intake of vitamins is as important as protein. For vegetarians, it is even more protagonist.
