Red bean paste is one of my favorite fillings for Chinese pastries. Just like Fried Chop Rice Cake and Chinese Red Bean Paste Buns Which included red bean paste. I have to say that this recipe takes a long time and is more difficult. Sometimes I just buy it online to save time. But it’s better to make it yourself, and you can make more and freeze it in the refrigerator at a time.
The pressure cooker is necessary equipment to make the beans cooked through as quickly as possible. I also used breaker to get finer bean paste. When stirring the bean paste , water will splash out, so we should wear gloves and glasses. Another important point is to use a non-stick pan, otherwise the red bean paste will have a burn taste.
In order to get delicious red bean paste, all the processes are worthwhile. If you like fillings with beans, please ignore the breaker and stirring steps. Make the red beans cooked through in the pressure cooker into small balls, the same delicious fillings for buns or dessert.
Red Bean Paste
- Pressure Cooker
- 500 gram red bean
- 4 cup water
- 200 gram sugar
- Wash the red bean ,then add to the pressure cooker
- Press the button to cook the meat,about 40 minutes later, cooked through, add sugar
- Add them to the breaker, Stir until there are no particles
- Add to the wok, keep stirring until they are dried
