Chinese Salt and Pepper Shrimp
Chinese Salt and Pepper Shrimp is a easy and quick recipe. It can also be used as a dish to entertain guests for its nice color and deliciousness.
Though it takes some time to devein, it is worth it. Both frying and deep-frying are options, which do not affect the crispness of the shrimp. Salt and pepper is a seasoning frequently used in Chinese dishes. Only the fried pepper powder is mixed with salt, the amount of salt is adjusted according to your taste.
500 gram shrimp,
3 colves garlic, chopped
2 tablespoon starch
5 gram ginger, sliced
30 gram green scallion, chopped
2 tablespoon cooking wine(Shaoxing wine)
4 tablespoon oil
3 tablespoon pepper powder ,1 teaspoon salt, mixed well( salt and peper)
- Wash the shrimp, then cut off the beards of the shrimps and deveined.
- Marinated with starch, cooking wine and sliced ginger for 10 minutes.
- Add oil to a frying pan, pan-frying the shrimp both sides untill cooked through.
- Add a little oil to a wok, add chopped garlic, stir-frying for 5 seconds, then add shrimp, salt and pepper, chopped scallion, stir-frying for half minute, let the seasonings mix well, transfer a dish.
- Serve immediately.
