Wonton Noodle Soup

Wonton noodle soup is a very popular Chinese noodle dish, especially popular in Guangdong and Hong Kong. It consists of wontons and noodles. Wonton noodle soup has a rich texture and unique taste and are deeply loved by people. A delicious choice for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Shrimp is often added to the filling of Cantonese wontons. The noodles in wonton noodle soup are usually hand-made thin noodles with eggs added.

INGREDIENTS

Handmade thin egg noodles,

-Fillings

  • Lean pork, pork tenderloin is best
  • Shrimp meat, remove the shell, head, tail and devein
  • Scallion, is usually added to meat fillings to remove fishy smell and increase flavor.
  • Ginger, The addition of ginger will remove the fishy smell of the meat and shrimp.

Seasonings for the fillings

  • Cooking wine, it also can be replaced with white wine.
  • White pepper powder,
  • Salt,
  • Potato starch, make the meat fillings stick together more
  • Light soy sauce,  is a common kitchen seasoning used by Chinese people.
  • Egg, increase the flavor of the fillings and make the fillings more sticky.

Soup base

(It would be better if there is chicken stock or broth.)

  • Chicken powder
  • Hot water

 

Instructions

1. Put chopped scallion, lean pork pieces, ginger, shrimp meat into a meat grinder, minced.

2. Add the seasonings to the minced pork, stir with chopsticks, mixed well.

3. Make wontons with wrappers and fillings.

4. Heat a pot of water, bring to a boil, add wontons and noodles, boiling until cooked through, transfer to the bowl with soup.

  • Shrimp meat, 100 g
  • Scallion, 10 g, chopped
  • -Seasonings for the fillings
  • Cooking wine. 1/2 tsp
  • White pepper powder, 1/2 tsp
  • Salt, 1 tsp
  • Potato starch, 1/2 tsp
  • Light soy sauce, 1 tsp
  • Egg, 1
  • -For soup base
  • Chicken powder, 1 tsp
  • Hot water , 100 ml

Instructions
